Loud windshield wipers

The dealer has claimed to replaced the wipers 3 times so far..yet they continue to sound like they have seen hard times


I'm going to try just going to advance auto and buying some one piece wipers but i was wondering is anyone else experiencing the loud sounds from the wipers

Sorry to hear. I've been in a couple of downpours since I've had the car 4 weeks. Extremely silent even at high speeds. Have you considered another dealership for assistance?

not yet..but when i first heard the sound (had the car a month before it rained) i did visit a different dealer that didn't have the wipers in stock..I'll try that route if i cant find some high-end aftermarket ones..

Sorry to hijack the thread but this is a wiper question, does the genesis have a special type of wipers? because mine has a yellow strip on both of the blades and i've never seen that before (not sure if it's a protection strip that is put on the wipers that the dealer forgot to take off?).

Look at another genesis today and it didn't have the yellow strip so i'm confused?

I pulled the yellow cover off and yes, there was a normal blade underneath, strange thing the yellow cover had a small blade too, maybe to stop you scratching the windscreen!?

I have the yellow strip also and it is loud. I think I am going to take them off right now. I asked about this when I first picked up my car and the person at dealer said that the should remain on. I felt a little suspect when he said that. It rained this morning and I did not get a clear wipe.

I had no yellow "covers" on mine and the wipers are virtually silent. I suspect that these were in place to protect in shipment and should have been removed as part of dealer prep?

Mine are loud. Wouldn't surprise me if I had to pull off some more plastic. Been doing that since I bought mine last week.

I found the protective plastic on the console. Where else did you find the protective plastic?

I'd had asked my dealer and he said they should have been taken off before they gave me the car and was very sorry for not noticing them.
