  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My last BMW cost 16k more, was in the shop more and was just as bad if not worse on mpg.[/QUOTE]

My last BMW costs 20k more and I never got more than 11mpg.

So it is 10% high, big deal, mentally adjust and take the money they are giving.
Sort of a waste of time discussing this.

I have finally gotten the radio problem taken care of (I think) Now the mpg gauge is going goofy. Normally in town I get 18.5-20 or so. Suddenly the gauge is jumping from 14 to 18, up and down. Not driving any different. I tend to think it is the gauge more than anything. Anyone have similar problem?

You people must be a lot better than me at accurately refilling your fuel tank. If it was averaged out over many fill-ups it would be more accurate. The is the hardest tank to refill I've ever owned. Since I don't want to fill to the top I can't tell where it's filled to. Mine's so sensitive to rate, nozzle position, and the pump cut off settings I don't think I fill up to close to the same spot every time. So I just use the readout knowing it's not real accurate but it's a pretty good guide. And yes, Hyundai could have made it much more accurate. The worst I've owned was a '05 Jetta TDI. It was 20-25% high.

When I bought my car the sales person gave me a receipt for filling it with 21.5 gallons of 93 (almost $100 bux at the time).

The only question I had for him was where he put the extra gas as the tank was supposed to be 19 gallons...

Wow, 21.5. The most I've every gotten in my 2010 was 17 gal and I usually fill up with 30 miles to empty. I have managed to up my average mpg/fillup from about 19 to about 20 by driving 65 on the highway instead of my previous 75. Looking forward to a trip of all highway miles so I can get a better reading.

Impressive. My record is a mere 20.5 gallons.
