  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Apologize if asked before but when does the low fuel warning message/light come on for ‘19 G70 3.3? My previous ‘17 G80 warned me at range of about 30-35 miles left, but I got to 20 miles left today for 1st time since owning car yet there was no warning and I luckily noticed so I filled up tank. Is it closer to 15 miles or does it vary based on your driving habits? I guess I’ll have to keep driving more next time to actually find out.

Wow, that seems really low. I don't think mine has come on yet, but I haven't driven it below an indicated 45 miles or so, My previous car would warn about 60 miles in advance. Of course the computer's mileage prediction will vary according to your driving style at the time.

If it’s indeed not working is that a software issue? Or is it a sensor?

I had mine give me a low fuel warning once, it asked me if I wanted directions to the nearest gas station! I can't remember how many miles I had estimated left, though...

I tested this out of curiosity a couple weeks ago... I was likewise surprised (not in a good way) that the warning came at like 15 miles. I'd prefer it (or am used to it) at 50 miles.

Thanks for the feedback. Now I know it warns pretty late and I agree that most come at minimum 30 miles.

Consumer Report tested against the A4 and 3 series last year. It is on this board somewhere. Low fuel warning later than they preferred was mentioned in their comments.

I like to belief it does relate to ur driving style, I recently got mine and the first time I filled it went as low as to 18 without warning, once I filled out again, it went low 34 and got the warning. Hope it's not a messed up sensor lol. My other theory is the quality of gasoline, because it was different stations both times, all tho not sure how to sum that to the equation.
