Hey Sal, I saw these on the website when I ordered my interior handle inserts, door latch cover, and plate for between the doors. The only thing that stopped me from getting it was that I have the black napa leather interior, and the stitching is white in the car. Any chance these will ever be available in black with white stitching? 2022 GV80 3.5 Prestige

The flap runs the length of the cover towards the bottom. It literally will slide between the outside openings on either side of the armrest. That way it makes it looks like it was factory installed. The strip just secures it from the bottom side. Had my from day one and it's not moved one bit. Play around with it and you'll see how easy it is.

Thanks for the help, I stupidly tried to insert between the plastic chrome bit and leather. Didn't think of the gap when the lid is opened. Looks lovely! Feels nice too, doesn't look too bad even for Advanced trim

The company that makes these armrest covers, Aimban, doesn't really do much custom work, unfortunately. They pretty much make something - and then that's it. At least that's what my experience is. I don't expect any changes. I went with Aimban because they have, by far, the highest quality armrest covers. However, there may be other brands out there that have an appearance you prefer...

I just finished installing the armrest covers and they look and feel great!

A few tips I learned:

* I found it easier to install the backside (the black stretchy material) over the rear of the lid first, making sure to pull it down far enough so it extended under and around the hinge. Then pull the front part down.

* if you look closely, there is a small hole in the black stretchy material. That hole should face the front of the car so the lid will stay closed. If you look how the lid is held closed, there is a plastic "nub:" that fits into a slot on the front of each door lid. The hole in the cover is to allow the "nub" to fit into the space. On mine, I found it necessary to use a razor blade to slightly open up the hole...just a tiny bit.

* to secure the flap, you need to push the black plastic strip into the slot between the metal strip and the leather. Use your fingers to first insert the front, then sliding along the strip, gradually press in the remaining part inch by inch. For a better fit, you can gently lift up on the entire armrest to open up the slot at the front to get it started. You can finish it off by using a thin, flat tool (like a credit card or a dash removal tool) to press in the black plastic strip along the entire length of the side flap.

From what I can tell the Dark Green armrests covers are only made in the GV70 format

I purchased these for my GV80 and I'm having problems with the installation. I can get them on but only one at a time will close and latch. It is almost like they are too wide as there is lesss than zero clearance between them. I've watched the video and feel like I followed the directions. Can you help?

Considering these covers, but wondering if the difference in the pattern between the armrest and seats (I have the diamond pattern) is noticeable and bothersome.

the product page has an example of this but I don't think its for a gv80. it should give you an idea how it would look though.

Well, my shipment finally arrived and I received one set of black. The bigger problem is that I believe there's a postal strike in Canada and inexpensive USPS/Canada Post tracking isn't possible... The only alternative is UPS and I believe that's a good bit more expensive...
