  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Does any one know if magnaflow 19116 cat- back exhaust will fit 2019 genesis g80 5.0 ultimate. Looks like it would but magnaflow people say no. That it only fits 2015-2016.

I was actually wondering this myself. The layout looks nearly identical. Maybe this weekend I'll take a look at part numbers of the stock exhausts and see if they are the same. That would be a clear indicator.

So I did a cursory inspection, and they are very similar. The exhaust system is composed of three sections, the center resonator with attached pipes, the left muffler and connecting tubes, and the right side with connecting tubes.

The left and right muffler sections are identical in part numbers for the V8. The resonator is where things aren't identical. The part numbers are extremely similar, but not the same, denoting some change made between the two. I can say that just going off of the picture, they look size wise to be able to fit in the same place.

edit-One other thing I can tell you is that, after looking at the frame stamping part numbers, the V8 uses the same center floor stamping p/n-65111-B1040 (which is where the resonator and associated plumbing lives).

I 'think' Magnaflow's 2016 exhaust will work on a 2018, and the reason they are probably saying no is due to not testing the fit on the 2018.

Thanks for the research. I might take the chance and order one to see if it will fit. I'll be updating when it all happens. Thanks again for your help.

As long as the 2019 model still still retains the quad outlet tips as the previous model years it will work. I have it for my 3.8 and it fits besides having to squeeze 4 true exhaust outlets to breathe out of 2 tips.
How does it sound? Any droning? Not looking for it to be really loud. Just louder than stock. Thanks for the info.

Just installed on my 2019 G80 5.0. Almost perfect fit. Not cars fault. Magnaflow set kit with one of the cat flange clocked wrong. Just cur it off, repositioned it and welded it back on. The rest went on perfectly. Sounds great. Not to loud. No drone. About 20lbs lighter. Mirror finished. It does get loud when you get on it but thats what I wanted. Let others cars know they are getting passed my a Genesis. Will share more if any problems come up.

That's awesome. Thanks for taking the chance.

Could you post a few pics and maybe some audio in and outside of the car if you get a chance?

Wife approval is my concern as well. She loves the car and agrees it could use a little more noise when I get on it. But she also doesn't want to lose the quiet, relaxing characteristics when we drive for an hour to get into the metro area (we live 70 miles from a major population center).

I have a 2018 and also would love pics and an audio file, especially one at say 80; if you can. With lots of state interstates going back up to 75, my normal cruise is 85 now.

Below is a Corsa sport muffler custom install...how is this compared to the Magnaflow?

Here are a few pics of my magnaflow cat back. Fit it on my 2019 G80 5.0. Still need to do a couple of video for sound. But I love it.

How does yours sound compared to the clip above: a bit louder, about the same, or a bit quieter?

I found a 19116, FABRAMSFAN, if you can reply on sound clip above, I'll pull the trigger but would like a comparison if you can.

Magnaflow cat back exhaust looks nice.
Also include a short sound clip but I doesn't do the sound justice. I'll post a clip of when I had removed the stock exhaust.
