  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

1 - Sounds good

2 - No, not when compared to the Borla system

3 - Yes

4 - TBD

5 - Yes

You seem like the type of dude who will be fine with the standard MagnaFlow but be aware:

Every high performance car website has a series of threads that start and end like this from the same user:

1st thread:
New to the _____ forums, loving the car, but can't hear the engine. What's the gnarliest, bad ass exhaust out there?

2nd thread:

For those of you who bot the ____ exhaust, do you have a drone on highway at about 2-3k rpm? It's driving me ape $hit.

3rd Thread:
FS - Barely used _____ exhaust. 1 month old. $500 bucks OBO.

4th thread:
Bump, gotta move this thing. willing to negotiate + free shipping.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
So you are trying to tell me ppl who buy these hates them and sell them?

No, I'm saying that if you have had any aftermarket exhaust before on any car, then you would have an idea of what to expect with AM exhaust on the Genesis. There will be drone, but depending on what exhaust shops you have in your area, they may be able to "tune" your exhaust so you can reduce the drone as much as possible. Not all shops are able to do this either because they don't care and they'd rather just slap it on, or maybe they don't even have the skill.....maybe both. Exhaust frequency is a Science:) My shop is great and explains everything in great detail.

No there is a aftermarket law that states if the aftermarket part cant be proven to be the cause of whatever issue ur having then no void. However if you install and have an issue with the exaust system then yes.

It won't void warranty will it?

To reiterate what Scott said - Have you installed aftermarket intakes or exhausts before? If so, then you know what you're getting into. If you throw an aluminum intake and exhaust on the Genesis it will no longer be the ultra-quiet cruiser you bought.

My intake howls when accelerating uphill on the highway and my exhaust drones considerably at low RPMs. I'm used to it, but it's also the first thing someone new to my car points out. So, it's not negligible noise.

Well i just found out after being told by magnaflow that the exhaust they were sending me and said fits my car only fits the 4.6 not the 3.8. They f'ed up. Ill let you guys know.
