  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey all
I was originally looking at getting a 5.0 R Spec but for a daily and to get rid of this Audi headache but I decided to go with a 2014 CPO 3.8.

She has a little under 29k miles on her and is being sold by a Hyundai dealer.
How do I ensure I have all of the proper information and warranty things straight before I sign my life away for another few years?
Thanks

Is the vehicle service history clean?

Make sure the CPO covers 100% of the car like the OEM factory bumper to bumper warranty and backed by Hyundai Motors America (HMA) and honored at any dealer nationwide (i.e. not local dealer BS). Call HMA customer service and ask them if you're not sure. Recommend you have the CPO cover the length of time/miles you intend to keep the car. Otherwise just skip the CPO and get the Hyundai Protection Plan (Platinum) extended warranty instead. Your dealer will likely make the same $ on either (~$1k) so it shouldn't matter to them. I would not want to drop $1k on the CPO now and then have to buy another extended warranty later.
