  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey guys,

I'm kind of new to this forum, but I had an observation about my brand-new Genesis Coupe (4cyl-turbo, 6-speed manual).

Sometimes I noticed that the shifter seems to "get stuck" when I try to shift it out of 5th gear and into neutral. I don't have any issue with shifting from any of the other gears, but it seems that 5th gear seems to the one thats causing most of the trouble. And just overall, the gearbox doesn't feel that high of quality.

Does anyone else have the same issue, or notice an issue with the gearbox as well?

Other than that, I LOVE driving it....and love the car in general. :)

Thanks for your response!

-Marc

There has been some problems with the 2010 2.0 turbo cars, mine is a 3.8 2011 and it is fine. Some have had to take their cars back to the dealer for repair under warranty. So if you have a warranty I would take it back and start the process of getting it fixed. Bitching about it does not get it fixed, there is a few that has done that. So take it back and start your claim process and keep all the paper work on this until your satisfied.
