Map Update Malfunction

Has anybody else been experiencing malfunctions since the Map update for G80 with the Jog dial? Me personally I’ve noticed that when My text messages pop up after awhile I can’t turn my radio volume up or down itll just say “Guidance” As if I’m controlling the volume for my navigation. Turning the radio off doesn’t work either. Once I turned that feature off for text notifications I stopped having those problems.

I have a 2017 G80 5.0 Ultimate. Today I had the same problem. I did not have the radio on. I received a text and when I tried to use the controller to select "Read", the unit froze. It would not respond to the controller or to the touch screen. I was able to turn the radio on and use both the dash buttons and the controller to switch among Sirius XM, FM and AM. I was also able to use the controller to select stations on the screen but no audio came through the speakers. The only way I was able to clear the problem was to turn the ignition off and open a door, turning the whole system completely off. I am using version 14 and have an iPhone SE with iOS 13.5.1.

This is the second time this has happened. The first time was a month ago. I was on the interstate then and did not have the time or aility to pull off and investigate the problem.

I noticed that if you go into setting and adjust the audio sounds by just turning it up or down it’ll work without turning the engine off.

Interesting. I tried that and it did not work for me. Did you use the dash knob or the one on the steering wheel?
