Mapnsoft v14 on the Horizon

I'm in Vancouver, I just used the site to download the update onto my existing sd card and updated to 13.5. My dealer said I had to go through him but my suspicion of them not knowing what they're talking about was right.

Just open an account and add your VIN and update away

I've tried this so many times but it will never accept my VIN. I've had the car for at least 3 months now too. Concluded that the site is for USA VINs only. How the heck did yours go through?

i got my car in Sept 2019 and only JUST recently was able to add it. I'd say try again

Just tried again with same error. However, I did notice that the splash page for the Mapnsoft site now offers links for both USA and Canada versions. So, I tried the Canadian one this time but yeah same error.

Bought new? Dealer may not have done whatever they do. It normally takes 4 to 6 weeks.

I bought mine as a dealer demo. I'm more inclined to think the one Canadian guy that was able to get his VIN accepted by Mapnsoft was more of a fluke than anything.

maybe a fluke? the dealer told me it wouldn't work but it worked anyway. We'll see if I can do it with v. 14

So far you've been the only report from a Canadian owner that has been able to do this through Mapnsoft directly. Perhaps you are somehow blessed compared to the rest of us...

nah I doubt that. but I did call Genesis connect services a few times last month when my app would stop working... they rebooted my connection a few times maybe that triggered something?

I had issues getting signed up with Genesis Connected initially for remote start/online search etc. and had to bug the dealer I purchased through to get this stuff working at the time, but Genesis Connected and Mapnsoft seem like two distinct services that wouldn't communicate with each other in any way. Who knows why you could get updates online, certainly an interesting thing to ponder.

maybe when they rebooted my account it got updated finally from the Mapnsoft database? who knows

I confirmed that it's not the same login which means they are probably totally different system between the USA and Canada.

IIRC, there was no Canadian portal a few months ago, just the one for the USA.........

Turns out that I was using the US site instead of Canadian, now I had no issue with getting signed up for online updates.

i haven’t used the car in 3 weeks. I am now estimating a savings of around 2,500 miles at lease end, prior it was going to be very close to the 36k mark if not over when the vehicle got returned.


I’m WFH until at minimum June 1, for me that is a savings of ~200 miles a week or so.

I bought my G70 12/26/20.....only have 620 miles on it
