Good luck but I think you know the answer. Download is free. SD card you pay for.

I was going to wait but decided to pay for a new card and shipping. Just got a notice my order has been processed and have a USPS tracking number.

Just got off the phone with Mapnsoft CSR. Here is what I learned from him.
1) Genesis owner still gets free upgrade & free shipping and he expressed that the web site is incorrect and it will be fixed soon. When asked he didn't say how soon or when.
2) In spite what the web site says. Version 14 is not available for d/l until 14.5 release
3) I just bought one for my wife owns a Hyundai SF. It does charge 31.70 shipped to my home with a SD card using first class mail.

That's what I know.

Apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere, but does anyone know if I have to do this update myself, or can the Genesis dealer do it at my next scheduled service?

Either one will work, but AFAIK you have to request it at your next appointment... they won't do it for you automatically.

I don't know that you can do it with a thumb drive. AFAIK it has to run off the SD card.

What?? I now realized i still on my original version since i got the car Jan last year. Here is where I am.
So, if i want to download any other version after this one where i can found it because the Mapnsoft website won't give you option for any previous to 14. I'm missing 12, and 13 obviously and the one mentioned for Global i can't find it.

I sent email to Genesis Canada via the contact us option in the website about my issues with the updates since i got the car. They just asked me to confirm my information on file (address) and confirmed to send me the product in a few business days as mentioned below.

I believe when you enter the VIN data info. MnS will figure out which memory type your car needs.
My old ride '13 r-spec only comes with USB flash drive.

Just successfully placed an order for the SD card and had the option available to “Bill to GMA.” Looks like everything is fixed now!
