Is this the standard view for SXM radio with the new update?

Chat with Mapnsoft (Oliver) and usb availability to mail to customer will be between 23-26 April. I asked if SD card stays in dash and he did not know. I assume it stays.
I will use the mailed usb as I want to limit the sources of contamination on this update

What USB? You have a G70 don't you - need an SD card?

SD card remains in the car...the car constantly pulls data from it. If you get a new SD card preloaded...simply swap.

Unless you don't use the built in Maps. I leave the SD card out and use Google maps. The car's Infotainment loads faster that way too.

I'm not familiar with the display on a G70 - on boot up what shows on the map section without an SD card?

^ HVAC info...which is really nice. I wanted it that way with the SD card in...but no way to customize the widgets on the home screen.

I hope this addresses the issue around not being able to save SiriusXM channels as favorites when hitting the "star" button. Each time I try, the system reverts back to the Home Screen then back to Radio without the channel being saved. Seems some folks have the issue and others don't.

Well, that would explain why there's no new update available for my base 2019 G80.

I just installed this update, having downloaded earlier in the week. (2019 G70)

To me, the screen now looks much more modern, i'm a fan of the update. Haven't used satellite radio so cannot comment there.

The biggest plus is that there is a noticeable increase in sound quality. They have changed something here for the better, significantly IMO. This is judging FM radio before/after which I listen to daily. Have not tried other sources but would expect the same results. Very happy.

I agree. It's much more pleasing to the eye and the sound is great.

Radio has an antihiss feature. Doubt it does much for HD, though.

I think I have this problem too. Before I used to be able to press and hold the preset button and it would save it. Does this version use the same process or is it done differently?

It no longer works that way (the way it should). Now you have to select save as preset (or something like that) from the menu.

I don't know about the Sirius stations but for AM/FM stations you press the empty star below the frequency dial on the screen.

Got it! Thanks for your help guys. Now I understand why we cannot group stations according to our preference. This is terrible. I used to have my favorites grouped together and my wife's separately. Now its all in numerical order.

I like the new color scheme and can probably live with the Nixie tube display since it doesn't affect usability but taking away the ability to customize is a huge step backwards. Also, didn't the previous version have more than 24 presets?

The re-released version now allows me to save SiriusXM channels as favorites, though it still organizes in numerical order rather than the order I want.

I’ve also noticed that when listening to SiriusXM, switching to CarPlay, and then switching back to SiriusXM (via hitting the radio button in the dash), it takes me to FM rather than SiriusXM.
