Mass Issue: Genesis Infotainment Driver/User Profile Settings Reset Discussion

Just happened to mine. What a waste of time resetting everything. Wouldn't it be nice if Genesis really cared and sent an apology and $100 gift card? The Genesis experience is so 2nd rate.

Just got my GV80 and earlier today my driver one profile disappeared (I did see a thread saying this was apparently a glitch and I’m not alone) however, my driver 2 profile is experiencing some things turning on and off and my driver one profile is not showing fm radio or my satellite radio option. Is anyone experiencing these other issues?

Folks, PLEASE let us all know if you lost your setting after doing the May 2023 update manually. My owned GV60 did NOT factory reset, but the GV60 loaner (which was not updated by the dealer manually) did. Working on a theory.

I did notice that the saved places are also stored in the phone app where you can resend to the car if you have the connected services.

Theory testing. Anyone NOT have this issue and also manually had updated their software/maps instead of waiting for the OTA? I’m wondering if the May 2023 OTA update is screwing with the profiles. I hope it’s not the sign of a hack.
Still I question why GMA would send out a flawed/buggy OTA update on a Friday afternoon PDT. You can’t just screw with customers and make them wait for Monday for an explanation!

I thought the OTA was auto not manual. I didn't do any intentional updates today, but I lost one of my profiles on my GV60

Search for this topic in the car-specific sub forums, seems it’s car and system wide including other Hyundai cars - either a hack or GMA sent out a buggy OTA update Friday/Saturday.

I guess they're starting to restore things because my driver profiles names have been restored and they're linked with correct genesis connected services accounts. But personalized setting are still MIA

wife's profile disappeared, and then reappeared but with most of the settings reset, my profile disappeared and reappeared with a different icon and none of my settings intact.

Same issue, main profile reset this morning (second profile still intact) but main profile reappeared later in the day but with different icon and many of the settings reset (no saved radio/SiriusXm stations).

Not sure when I signed over those rights....

I had the same factory reset this AM. Would love to hear what happened.

Had a strange thing happen today. The entire system reset itself, and right back to initial setup. All settings were wiped out. Not too big a deal to redo everything, but...why? Has this happened to anyone else?

Same thing happened to me. Genesis Website is also frozen so can't contact "concierge " service about this

The more I experience genesis the more disappointed I am. What a pita, reset happened to me today too. Good looking cars but definitely not a luxury ownership experience.
