  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Mass Issue: Genesis Infotainment Driver/User Profile Settings Reset Discussion

From what I have read elsewhere, if you did not drive your car on Saturday when this all went down, you will be fine. But, it only took be about 30 minutes to build my profile back up and I learned a few things along the way. I use Google for navigation so all that data was on my phone so I did not lose all my locations. That will be difficult for those of you that use the built in navigation.
Yeah, now you tell me. I just go in the car to move it a couple of feet and was going out in my friend's car. Push start button and wham, gone.

Here is my up to the minute report. I have not driven my 22 G70 2.0T AWD Prestige since last week. Just hopped in to check the Software under Setup and it started to download an update. When I turned the car off it started to install, it took about 15 minutes and I was notified by text when it was complete (nice touch!) The car was on ACC mode when I returned and all settings were retained, woohoo! My current software version is IKFLUSA.S5W_M.V009.001.230203.

So, after all of this re-entering of profile info, we still cannot get the vehicle digital speed to remain on the display. This applies to both driver 1 and 2. Anyone having similar issues? Does anyone know of a solution?
Use the scroll wheel on the right side on the steering wheel. Scroll until you see Select Connections, hit OK, Scroll until you see the digital speed display and check the box on top of the display, exit and then scroll until you see the actual digital speed display. The display should remain on the screen until you uncheck the box on the Select Connection sight.

I noticed today that map no longer labels the streets. The road I’m driving on still is listed on the bottom of the screen.

Major screw up.

I had my GV80 computer rebooted and updated nine days ago and a few days ago all the settings cleared once again, back to factory default besides, the issue of re-having to do all the settings manually the where the speedometer in between the two Diles rate normally read the mileage per hour it no longer states anything it just has a picture of the GV80 and we cannot remove it so does it have to be updated with the computer again but this is getting ridiculous
Here is the link. I had the same issue when I rebuilt my settings.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!

You have to push a second time to check the box.

Didn't drive the '23 GV80 this weekend.
This morning Wife drove 40 minutes of hwy to work and 40 back this afternoon with no noticeable changes.
Won't be driven again for a couple days so we'll see.

.....
.

I leased a 2023 GV80 3.5 on May 15 and lost profiles and settings as well. This is off topic a bit but I noticed last update on the vehicle was Dec 2022 and that OTA update was available. So how does one get this OTA to install? Or does it mean I need to get the USB update and install myself?

Odd as it may be, in order to get OTA updates, you have to accept terms and conditions. So, call Genesis as they need to send you a link. A link, which by the way doesn't work, but they told me, they're working on it. So maybe before I trade the car in, it may work.

Anyone else lose their speed limit sign in the HUD?

I don't have HUD, but did lose the speed limit sign in the instrument cluster and had to dig through Vehicle Settings to restore it. I would imagine you need to turn it on there as well to get it back in the HUD.

This Video should tell you how to get it back:

Thanks. I beat the bushes fairly well on that but no luck. Maybe I missed it.

Watch the video I added above.

To add fuel to the fire, still no communication from Genesis, and when you go onto the app to try to send a message, the Captcha doesn't work at the end and won't let you send. Some tech folks need to lose their jobs. Pathetic for a "luxury" car maker

Update on map: the map defaults to 3D Neon which has no street names. Switched to 3D heading up and street names appear

Restarted my GV80 tonight at 9:00pm and my driver 1 and name have been magically restored.

I had to reset all my preferences though.

Apparently Hyundai is gradually doing an OTA semi-fix.

I hope to hear it worked! It at least restored the speed limit on my digital dash. I have to believe it will add it back to the HUD too.

I sent a message when the captcha finally worked last night, but no reply! Spoke to my dealer service manager and they were just as surprised when they came in today to this issue. They have received no info from Genesis yet.
Someone screwed up something and obviously didn’t test it before they sent it to everyone.
