  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

May have made big mistake purchasing a Genesis

The only thing that he could have done that might cause a fuel injector problem is buy very cheap gasoline.
They probably replaced all of them as a precaution.

Yeah. It is like ethnic jokes. Only members of the same group should tell the jokes. Same here. All us old folks (I top you both as I am 79) can prattle on about loss of memory, etc. Oh. wait a minute. What was I just writing about?
Hahaha. Love it!

Could be that the person puts that kind of mileage on his car annually and trades them in annually and the car was fine. Or, it could be that he drove it without doing regular maintenance and its prospects are somewhat dim; and, finally, it could be that it was just a troublesome car (every manufacturer seems to get some of those). The OP's first repair could fall into any of these categories. If it falls into the first category, the OP's problem could be unusual and and the car could remain pretty trouble free. If it falls into the latter category one might want to consider an extended warranty. But the first challenge is seeing if the OP can get historical data on the car.
There are a lot of “could be”s in the above. In my opinion, with limited first hand info, I think the odds that the fact that it was returned after one year and all the injectors needed to be replaced are not unrelated.

Yes, and I’m guessing the first owner never, or rarely, serviced the vehicle during that one year.

Toyota/Lexus is very conservative, their reliability comes from them keeping what works and fixing what constantly breaks. It's rare that they release something completely new. Reliability is how they sell you the same damn truck for 15 years. I'd buy a Lexus if I wanted a new old car with old tech and never breaks down.
