  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Does anyone have a 2010 Genesis 4.6L w/Tech package that can answer a few questions?

1-Do the memory settings include the steering wheel and both side mirrors?

2-How do you get to FM presets w/out having to go through so many different menus?

3-Does the glove compartment come open slowly or does it just flop down w/out any sort of smoothness/softness?

1. section 4 of your manual

2. DIS manual pages 42 to 49

3. Should open slowly, not flop.

My glove compartment did flop down. I was told that the lock needed to be replaced. It was replaced under warranty and no trouble since.

homeofstone, thanks! But can you narrow down where in section 4? Most of the manual is section 4.

Memory settings should include the mirrors and steering wheel the only beef is that the motor and switch on the 2010 steering column has a bad rep for not going back to the original position when requested either by pressing one of the two seat memory buttons or the easy access tilt up and away feature that is meant to facilitate exiting and entering the vehicle. My 2010 has had the switch replaced and she still misbehaves to the point where I have disabled the steering wheel tilt up and way easy access feature. This problem is well documented on this forum as well as a "known issue" with Hyundai.

The FM presets can be set simply by pressing the DIS to the right and then selecting store when you have dialed around to the desired station frequency. Once that is done you can use the radio controls located on the left side of the wheel to cycle thu them at will.

homeofstone, there's nothing in the manual about memory settings regarding mirrors or steering wheel (that I could find).

A driver position memory system is provided to store and recall the driver seat, outside rearview mirror and steering wheel positions with a simple button operation.

Thanks very much for your help regarding the memory feature.

Regarding storing stations, I got that figured out, but, if I'm driving and using the Nav screen, trying to get to the FM presets is a multi-process issue. It entails me to take my eyes off the road for a bit too long to be comfortable. I'm trying to find a way to gain access to my presets w/out having to take eyes off the road for so long.

Well if you have them stored already then the steering wheel buttons are your answer then. As even in Nav mode you can change stations and see which station you are on with a quick glance at the top of the Nav Screen.

Radio presets can be accessed by voice command. Radio .... FM ..... 106.1 for example
You can control phone. radio, usb, cd, and navigation on by voice.
I use voice commands a lot for radio, usb, and phone. Also for suspending navigation. Its all in the manuals which are very similar to the Mercedes manuals.
