  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I was able to get this to step by doing a full reset. Setup >general settings> reset >reset all.

Requires basically resetting up all the settings you want in the car, but worth it to get rid of the beeping

The gauge cluster randomly is in Korean too.
Mine started doing that sh*t too, then go away, and come back in different form. Super annoying. Hope the update is put back on soon.

This worked for me, I did the factory reset and once I turned my car off and then back on, the issue was fixed. It’s a pain to reset everything but much better than the annoying beep.

Just spoke with Genesis Customer Care. They said if you're having the problem you should call in, but they also asked me if I have enabled over the air updates. I had not. So they said go to the following link and allow over the air updates and it should try to update without doing the USB update.

Anybody see a fix for this yet? I was going to take it to the dealership tomorrow, but the service advisor was not confident that he would be able to get the software so I delayed my appointment.

They pulled this update. And they pushed some over the air update that is causing the uneven road warning to beep every 10 seconds. They are working on it.

Love,

Genesis owner and dealer

I was able to download the update this morning (5/22/2024). I will try to do the update this evening.

I did the update this morning and the issue is fixed. My car hadn't been updated since it was built so the update took like 1.5 hours.

Yah the Update seems back online , but Customer service is telling me June 4th is when the new update is coming , This is confusing.

This latest update is taking 1.5 hours regardless of which update you had. I'm downloading it now, and will install it after that.
How did it go?

The update took an hour on the G70, and also an hour on the SF the 2nd time (initially, the 'bad' update 2 weeks ago took 1.5 hours). Drove the G70 yesterday, and all was well. Didn't check if it was showing a speed limit in my neighborhood, where it showed none before. Will check next time. And the Korean info only showed every once in a while, for some reason, but not lately. Hope no more bugs.

*** SUCCESS!!! *** I was able to download the software update and update my car this morning. The issue has gone away and my Sirius XM has a new look and feel. Got rid of those vacuum tube numbers 😊

Just checking as I've only had my '22 G70 for a few months - the car needs to be completely on while the update is being installed right? Do you guys just park the thing in your driveway idling in park?

No, car can be fully off and the update will install.

Yeah, just get it going with ACC ON (until you see the progress bar), then shut everything off. It should continue updating until finished.

Honestly, I don't even know how to do that. I couldn't get Park to engage after I got the car in ACC?! It's literally installing now, with the engine running now and garage doors up. But it didn't take long, the system is restarting already, unless it restarts multiple times during the update....I think it's been going for about 15-20 mins this far?

It'll take an hour+ total; just shut it off. It'll finish by itself.

Appreciate the help! It's going with the engine off as you said. The USB still flashing red.

I have another question since y'all are super knowledgeable here:
I had very intermittent connections with Android Auto with the cable (I tried lot 5 different ones including the one that came with my Pixel 6 Pro) and so I bought a Motorola MA1. It worked for about 2 months and then decided to quit. Now, after resetting the adapter multiple times, and I try to repair my phone to it, you can see it on the list of devices, but when I tap it, nothing happens. What the heck??
