Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. There are several threads in this forum discussing this.
My 2018 G80 Sport has had the window trim replaced multiple times due to this discoloration. I'm out of 5 year/50K mile warranty (at ~56K miles) and my window trim is again noticeably discolored. 8( The discoloration cannot be removed. The issue is the "bronze" coating/lacquer has worn away. (specific to G80 sport and possibly G80 5.0) Over the past few weeks I buffed out all coating/lacquer to make the trim consistent. I tested this on an old/replaced piece of trim. Determined aluminum wheel cleaner and a microfiber cloth by hand was the best option. Using a buffer/Dremel causing imperfections. I masked off around the trim. This was a tedious/time consuming process. I guestimate I spent 5 hours over the past 3 weekends.
