  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Although there may be several changes to the car that many would like to see, some may require retooling and major factory changes. For others, they may be a simple software change or regional specific change allowing features found in other geographic areas - more easily implemented in between larger model refreshes years into the model cycle which would require larger manufacturing changes.

Some thoughts for a simpler mid-year or first year refresh desires:

• Allow driver selectable options to be set and held during restarts - (driving mode, heated seats, heated wheel).

• LED DRL's and banning all amber.

•*Driver (key) specific memory settings (seat, mirror, etc.)

• Rear seat USB

• Smart Key Card

Others?

Foglights trim level option on V6 in US.

LED DRLs could just be a software tweak, as I doubt they produced different headlights just for the American market. Not to mention when you do turn on the headlights you have the led accents, which are just the DRLs in dim mode as in other markets.

On the contrary. These are the Dual HID Projectors that are put on the Korean models that I installed on my 3.8 AWD. Notice also that there is no amber side marker/accent, but it is silver in color.

The ones on your car are available in the Korean market only. The rest of the world get single projector design, however only the US uses the amber bulbs as DRLs, the rest use the LEDs as DRLs. However the turn signal still uses the amber lights. So I see no reason why the US model can't use the LED accents as DRLs

Voice recognition needs some attention especially associated with navigation.

  • APP's as promised
  • CARPLAY as promised
  • Additional features added to Bluelink like allowing you to turn on the heated seats.

Two of those three are unfortunately dependent on third parties, so Hyundai is at their mercy. I do not expect much on the app front via Bluelink - I think Apple CarPlay and Andrioid Auto will fill the void for apps.

Remote start without having to purchase Bluelink.

Didn't someone claim a few months ago that Hyundai is now the process of including fog lights on US version of Genesis, even if not AWD?

For one, they're amber. The white LEDs look so much better in my opinion.

This is going to sound really selfish but unless there is something in the refresh that is going to resolve the things I'd like to change on the car I bought (much of what was mentioned above), I can't say there is anything I want changed.

What is wrong with the amber DRLs?

I think they cheapen the look and are not contemporary compared to LED DRL's which are now increasingly found on less expensive cars. To me the amber lights scream late 80's Japanese domestic market luxury sedan.

Wow - exactly. I don't understand how that made it through the design review process when virtually all of their target competition was using their surround LEDs for DRLs at the time this car was designed.

Have you tried using the Google Search feature on the rear view mirror? I have had no issues with that voice recognition function. One of the handiest features on the car...

Yes i have and it works very well but what happens when you're driving (on the road) and you want to call up a saved prior route. You can't unless you pull over and manually do it. I used to be able to this on my 2011 very easy. Just say "navigate" and the given name of the route.
I consider this this a serious oversight.
