  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Mismatched Bumper Color?

I just purchased a 2019 G80 Sport AWD with 13k miles in Havana Red with this same issue on the front and rear bumper. Didn’t notice it at the dealer where I bought it because of the lighting. Now I can’t unsee it lol, I think it’s still under warranty and I wonder if it would be worth it get it blended to match to the car
I had the exact same car, exact same issue. I agonized for months and decided to not do anything. Factory paint is always better than from a body shop. Also, a greater chance of screwing it up more. I've since sold the car (along with my 370Z cabrio) to CarMax - took advantage of the used car market and cashed in. Not putting out the $$$ to repaint was a good decision and now for the next owner to agonize over . . . I've got more money in my pocket.

I can’t say that I’ll agonize over it. It’s an annoyance at best. Toe for toe. Havana Red is one of the most pretty reds I’ve seen to date in my opinion. I will say, looking at the metallic colors Hyundai released, it seems to be an issue, I had test driven a Mallorca blue, where the bumpers seems slightly off than the rest of the car.
I love the car, the speed, the drive dynamics, the sound system and tech. No one else has noticed besides me and you don’t notice until you get real close. There’s a vinyl wrap shop local to my area, so I may consider getting it vinyl wrapped, as there are some pretty sick red colors they can do.

I tried to find this subject elsewhere, but I didn’t find it, well not as precise as this post. I have a 2022 Stinger in red with the same type of problem. The color looks a lot like the red Genesis G70. I know they are cousins :) I had a 2018 Stinger and didn’t have this problem.

Now, if I go with my phone light, I see that the 2 bumpers are sparkiling the metallic paint a lot more, like 1000x more. Do you have this also? I would say that’s why they look so different.

I know the difference between metal and plastic, but it’s more in the texture of the paint, like if the bumpers were repainted.
