    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Mobile App Update

I had the same experience. I just changed the settings in the App to require manual PIN with each remote start. That is best solution for now. :cautious:
Yes, I have done that now too and it works!! 🤩
 
Hi, i just called Genesis, using Iphone i had to do the following.
From App Bottom Left —>Utilities—>setting & Privacy—>Use Face ID for PIN verification—uncheck then Check again.
Bingo it worked afterwards.
This worked for me as well.

Thanks for the tip! It did the trick for me....and at -7 degrees today in Wisconsin it is VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!
 
There is an Android update out today that addresses this issue. I never experienced it, so I am afraid to update it...🙄
 
Still can’t remote start from app.
This app SUCKS compared to the old app.

Although I can still remote start from the MyGenesis.com site, today it was very difficult to do it. A couple day’s ago, car remote started easy but not today.

I entered my Pin,
Selected Climate Start/ Start without out Climate Start.
As you probably know your doors must be locked for car to start, but normally you will get a message that if car does not start make certain to lock the doors.
If you have not already done so you may want to try uninstalling and reinstalling the App.
Contact Genesis Customer Service and if you are lucky perhaps you will get someone who will take the time to find out what the problem and resolve will be.

I opened the mobile app on my iPhone to remote start and found the App updated. I like the look and is more user friendly. However, during remote start process the app gave me the attached pop-up notification. "PIN Token has expired". I then changed my PIN on the App and I was able to remote start my GV80. However, the next day I received the same pop-up notification. I don't want to change my PIN again and have not contacted Genesis yet. Has anyone else run into this issue? Thanks.

I just called about this yesterday. Go into your settings and turn off the Face ID. You have to then manually enter the PIN.
HOWEVER. After I did all that, it sent the signal to start then never did. This app is terrible.
