  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Thanks, pretty sure this is the color I want.

I guess that is a Base Trim model (since no plastic on the front grill for adaptive cruise control, etc)?

I still cannot get over those Corolla rims. I hope Hyundai is smart enough to swap them out in a year or two:

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
How much is Jim Ellis marking up the asking prices over MSRP?

Yes, Mark you are correct it is a base model. IMHO the 14 R-Spec wheels are alot nicer.
I think the V8 wheels for 2015 are OK (a lot better than on lower trims), but not great. Actually the best looking Genesis wheels were the 2009-2011 Base Trim wheels. The were obviously a little small (17"), but classy looking.

Note: it looks a lot better with a wheel hub and bolts in place:

My fave color as well.
Does that mean after nearly 6 years as a member of this forum, that you are finally going to buy a Genesis?

^ You really are something.

You repeatedly accuse me (and others) for having some sort of connection to Hyundai and if it were a requirement to own a car to post in a forum, than auto forums across the board would be struggling for posts.

And not that it matters, but I stated a while back that I was considering the Genesis for my Dad (too big for what I need), but there were a no. of things that kept me from doing so (not quite as sporty as he is used to, the interior wasn't up to par and he rather have AWD since he doesn't want the hassle of having to get tires changed - yeah, I know).

The 2G Genesis fixes most of those issues, but this time, the design is a bit lacking.

Personally, I would be very interested in the new Hyundai RWD coupe (if Hyundai designers hold true to much of the design of the HND-9) and the RK (assuming the sheetmetal for that is more striking), as well as the Kia GT.

Happy now? (You certainly have a way of chasing off posters.)

And oh, I post more often in a forum dedicated to GM (which is where I 1st encountered Sal) and I don't own a GM.

You are welcome to post here, or any other forum. I just think it is weird.

No sir, we are not marking up our 15 Genesis over MSRP. MSRP - Hyundai Loyalty - Military - other qualifying rebates.

Had a flat tire in Atlanta on way to Florida last December and Jim Ellis Hyundai's Service Dept did a first class job of getting me on my way. It happened on a Sunday and the tire shops that were open would have had to order the tire. So Monday morning I called Jim Ellis and they had 3 in stock and, pleasant surprise, were less expensive than the discount tire stores.

I'm glad to hear that we were able to take care of you beyond your expectations. That is what sets us apart from the others.

If posters in auto forums had to own a car before they comment on it, then the auto forums would have far less activity.

The Genesis and Equus have been quite popular topics on auto forums and most posters commenting on them don't own one.

Btw, Sal doesn't own a Cadillac or Genesis/Equus and yet he posts frequently about them.

Sal runs this website and (presumably) makes a living from it. It would certainly make sense if you were in the auto business some how, but I thought you denied that.
