mophie Juice Pack (iPhone 5) compatibility?

Anyone out there have a mophie juice pack - specifically for an iphone 5 - where they can comment on compatibility with the Genesis? This amazon review:

talks about some issues with connections (not specific to a Genesis) since it is not a pass-through connection like on the iphone 4 mophie.

Any advice would be much appreciated!
 
I don't own one, but from everything I've seen it looks like the USB port on the outside of the Mophie for iPhone 5 will only charge. No sync, no data, no nothing else.
