  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Another option to consider is Imeem, (free app on IPhone). The advantage Imeem has over Pandora, is that is allows you to load your favorite songs in a folder and will play only those songs when you select that option. So, for example, you do not have to listen to songs you may not prefer from a favorite artist. The drawback is you have to load your favorite songs on their website from your PC, and not all songs have the same great sound quality as found on Pandora. All that said, I loaded about 300 songs and listened to them all on a trip from Florida to St. Louis, MO. (about 15 hours), without skipping one song, because they were all my pre-selected favorites.

Re: Lexicon/ IPhone 3G / Free Pandora App

My Genesis 4.6 Tech (high end) Lexicon radio on 4 occations would not come on at all. Total silence on all functions. Later, on start ups, the same day, it all worked again. Amp. problem? Any suggestions?
Thanks.

How can you control Pandora once the iphone is docked? Must you launch Pandora first and then dock?

Connect IPhone via the IPhone cable. Open the Pandora App. Once Pandora opens it must be controlled via the IPhone screen. Imeem works the same way.

Hope this helps.

Re: Lexicon/ IPhone 3G / Free Pandora App

Not sure if this has been discussed elsewhere, if so, please forgive the redundancy.

I just picked up the Hyundai IPhone cable connected it and went on a day trip. The sound from the IPOD of the IPhone through the Lexicon is awesome! But that was just the beginning.

I wondered if I could play Pandora through the Genesis system. (Pandora is an internet radio IPhone app that allows you create "radio stations" by choosing your favorite artist. It will then play songs from that artist and similar artists from that genre or style of music). I opened the app and after a few seconds it started playing my Paul Taylor radio station thru the Lexicon. Not only that, it played without skipping and, get this, the sound was head and shoulders over XM. In fact, driving from Fort Meyers Florida to Tampa Florida, (about 3hrs), we didn't even touch XM. I can not comment enough on how clean, crisp and full the sound was. I believe that this is the combination of excellent technology found in the Lexicon and the IPhone.

If you have an IPhone (Not sure if it will work with the IPod Touch), download Pandora, (it's free!), select your favorite artist and enjoy.

One thing to note: The app plays over 3G when your are on the road, so your experience may vary depending on 3G availability in your area. That said, we never lost a signal on interstate 75 for the full three hours and the signal and sound was pure.

For IPhone users, radio options just went up one: IPhone/Pandora/Lexicon. And you know this, man!!!!

Too bad the G1 won't work like that. :-(

Re: Lexicon/ IPhone 3G / Free Pandora App

Well, I have the iPhone. Now I need the Genesis to go with it!

Go to my thread: "Hyundai Tech Line (California) is Worthless" and you will see that I've had this problem a few times now. Yes, I think it is probably an Amp. problem, however I'm not about to tell either tech line, or my Genesis Tech what I think. I could (and probably) be wrong plus they don't like it when a layman like us tells them what we think.
