  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

This is a new one.. scanning through a song, I wanted to reverse a few seconds to hear a specific part again and holding down the down track selection brought me right back to the beginning of the song. Odd? Holding down the up track selection for a few seconds searches through the song, but is there no way to search in reverse?

Seemed strange to me. Maybe this only occurs on MP3's on USB. Haven't tried reverse search on CD or iPod yet. YMMV.

Actually mine works fine reverse with a MP3 on a usb stick.
Something is wrong.

Try again...you probably pressed and left to button to quickly.

Thanks QCTLG... looks like reverse search DOES work on most of my MP3's, but not VBR (variably bit rate) encoded MP3s. (Like the ones you get from Amazon). I guess I should have experimented on more than 1 song! I tried several MP3s today and all but the VBR MP3s searched both ways.. no big deal, just an interesting observation on the genesis audio system.
