  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Anybody seen mud flaps for the genesis? I am getting a bit of dirt build up behind the rear wheels as the fender flows up so sharply.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Korean Auto Imports has them for the Genny now as well. I ordered them today, we'll see how they look.

Any feedback on how they look? Are they black? Would like to see body colored ones instead of just the black plastic/rubber kind I think Hyundai uses.

You mean there are Genesis out there painted colors other than black? (just kidding...it was actually my second choice, but I was looking to buy last summer when inventories were really meager...V6s only and mostly black/black).

No other color out there. Black is the way to go. Still nothing from crepen. Looking for some feedback on how they look on the car. Still wish they were painted instead of plastic. The plastic ones probably wouldn't look all that bad on black.

I am getting them put on by the dealer tomorrow. I will post some pics after it is done.

sorry guys - forgot about this.

I recieved them, but i messed up and ordered black (my genny is titanium).

These aren't really flaps - thay are small plastic crescents to mount inside the wheel well - they only protrude 1/2" or so.

I think either will look OK, and way nicer than big truck-style mud flaps. but I haven't decided if I want to install the black or order the silver.

I did see one Genesis with moulded mud flaps (not the pictured mud guards). They were flat black in color (on a white Genesis). No idea where they were purchased, however the car was sitting on a dealer lot so the dealer parts department must know where to get them.

Mud flaps have been discussed previously in this forum. See below link for part numbers...these are black, not sure if they come in other colors:

A quote from Edmunds.com's forums:

"For one needing orginial equipment mud flaps for your Genesis from the manufacture , have your Hydunai dealer order the following. Front mud guard kit - 08460 3M000. Rear mud guard kit - 08460 3M500. Mine was ordered on a Friday and was here on the following Wednesday, from Hydunai. "

There is a picture of the mud flaps here (uninstalled):

I think I read a comment that it was cheaper to get them through the dealer.

I was wondering should these be used in conjunction with the chrome 'guards' from KAI mentioned a few posts earlier? The chrome ones don't look like they do much guarding....they look more like trim.

Here is a pic of the Hyundai mud guards. They are small and unobtrusive, yet they have significantly cut down on the tire spray. They are made of a soft black vinyl/rubber type material. Mine were installed by the dealer as part of my original negotiated package.

I ordered them as well. Thanks for posting the picture. BTW, my 528 has them as it does keep the spray off and keeps the rear fenders cleaner.

DesertGen, any idea on the dealer's source of the mud guards? Would you happen to know whether they were actual Hyundai parts? Or perhaps some type of "universal" mud guard from AutoZone? Just wondering.

DesertGen, never mind. I found the info elsewhere in the Forum. Thanks anyway.
