  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2010 3.8 Premium with Nav, 55k miles. I had a couple of strange things happen with the Genesis today. While driving I was streaming from my S7 Edge and received a call. I hit ignore on the cars screen and the music cut out. I cycled through inputs, got back to Bluetooth, it looked connected as usual but no sound. I check the phone and it says its connected. I raise the volume on the phone and its maxed and shows connected to the car. I raise the volume on the cars stereo and no sound. I shut the car off at the drive through window, restart, same deal. Shows connected but no sound. I unpair from the phone, pair again and same deal. The volume in the Genesis never goes past 20. I have no idea what number "max" is, so its not the cut off protection I saw posts about. I get back to work, reverse into my spot and the mirrors don't adjust down. I figured out the mirrors with some searching, for some reason the function is disabled when the mirror adjustment switch is centered. But the stereo is still a mystery. I've seen posts about the no sound, but not in relation to the ignored phone call. When I left work all was well, but I had no sound for about 30 mins during lunch.

Is this something that's been covered? If so please direct me to the right spot. Is this a sign that I need to expect to have the stereo replaced?

Edit: It was only the Bluetooth that stopped working. All other inputs had volume.

I am surprised that Bluetooth on a 2010 Genesis supports the Samsung S7 Edge. Did you check any doc to see what phones are supported?

I didn't. I paired my phone to the car on the test drives and had no issues at all. Once I bought it I never gave it another thought honestly. I haven't had an issue until today. I'll hop on Hyundai.com and see If I can find a list of supported devices.

The list I downloaded from Hyundaiusa.com is ancient. Not much help at all.

Android operating systems are being updated now and the update changed how my S7 acts when on bluetooth in two of my cars. I hate Op Sys updates on phones.

I bet that's it!!! An update pushed to my phone 2 days ago. It was pretty much rock solid until yesterday. No sound issues today, but on the drive home the skip back button randomly selected by itself about 8-10 times in rapid succesion while streaming. The button on the screen lit up as if some phantom presence was pressing it. It was strange. I'm going to sync my other half's iphone tonight and see if there are any issues with hers. I'm betting the update has something to do with it though. Good call

Edit: The phone was laying on the empty passenger seat.
