  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Music not coming out of speakers

I just started to notice the front driver side speakers cutting out while driving on my G70. It is very sporadic. Anyone have similar issues?

So oddly enough my G70 was just in for its 30k service and I never mentioned this as it had only happened the one time. But when I picked up the car and drove out of the parking lot, I noticed no sound so I immediately turned around and showed it to the service person. They took it into the shop and then couldn't get it to play and so they kept the car and let me leave again with the loaner I had just returned.

Not sure if they will find anything as it will likely just start working again randomly as has happened to everyone here. But at least it is now documented and a dealership has witnessed it. (y)

Hey Edmguy, any update on what they found?

Already just happened to me today after picking up the new car just "yesterday" (g70 3.3 elite)! Turned off car and restarted it but didn't work. Waited a few more min and tried again and sound came back on. As mentioned very difficult to replicate at a dealer so guess we're all stuck with an inconvenience, hopefully not more than a few times total though.

This happened to me once 7 months ago. Never again.

Just to keep a log of this happening....I lost all audio on the way to work this morning, after starting my car again once I filled with gas. A quick on/off did not fix it and neither did toggling modes, AV on and off etc. Drove to work in silence just listening to the fans of my heater running. That was fun. /s

Just happened to me for the 1st time yesterday. No sound as far as BT, AA, XM, AM, FM, however, voice commands, NAV, beeps worked. So I pushed the little black button and then everything started to work. I then wondered, why is that little black button so conveniently placed, who knew something.

Had the same experience once a couple of weeks ago, I was driving in the Highway listening music and talking to my wife I put the volume all the way down for a while. When we finished talking increased the volume and suddenly I can't hear any music at all (not from the radio, USB and Bluetooth) but the Navi and voice commands were working. I stopped in a rest area, turned off the car for 3 minutes and voila everything started working again. Never happened again
Hello out there. How did you solve the issue that you outline above? My 2019 just randomly started doing this today. Thanks!

Forget my last question. For some reason, everything started to work again.

Has happened to my ‘19 G70 at least 15 times in 4 yrs. Usually every 3-4 months but strangely enough 3 times in the past 10 days. Hope it doesn’t start to be a regular thing. Each time I just hit the reset button next to the volume knob and it’s fixed in 20-30 sec. Dealer wouldn’t probably be able to replicate it and I’m likely out of warranty by now. Guess it’s my problem now. Otherwise haven’t had any major issues in over 4 yrs owning this car other than the infotainment screen delaminating (replaced for free) and trunk latch sensor failing (replaced with new latch for free). Every car has its problems I gather. And I’m only at 21k miles after all this time!
