My 0 to 60 is in the 6-second range

Hello, I have a silver 2013 Hyundai Genesis 5.0 R spec and my 0 to 60s are all in the sixes. I have 136,000 mi and it's one owner. Never missed an oil change. Always maintained by the dealer. I put 93 in it and no matter how I launch it with traction control drive or sport mode, my 0 to 60 is always six. Something. That's with a bone stock car. I tried the weapon r cold air intake for a short while and no difference in 0 to 60. Still in the sixes.

The car has no warning lights, everything was maintained well and the car drives perfectly normal but that acceleration up to 60 is not par. What troubleshooting should I do? Because everything I've seen online I've never seen anybody get a slow of a time as me.

Where do you see this on line? My G80 with 3.8 was constantly 3.5 seconds. Honest, I'd not lie about is on the internet, my car is the best.

I see your point that people may extend the truth about 0-60, but it has been tested across various videos and forums that the 5.0 R-Spec is more than adequate for low 5's 0-60.

I'm more than 20% slower than that which is enough to indicate something may be wrong. I appreciate you highlighting the important point that it is a working vehicle and I'm happy about that, but I'd love to know if there was anything I can do to take care of the car that may improve its performance.

How many miles on the cars in the low 5s?
Compare compression with a low miles engine. Check bearing clearances, carbon buildup, fuel pump pressure, etc.

You do have 132,000 miles and things wear. Engines are very durable these days, but they still wear, albeit slower than in the past. If you had a 1950 Chevy, chances are you'd be doing rings and bearings at 50,000. If you had a 1960 Chevy, you may go 100,000.

If the loss of performance is a concern on an 11 year old auto, brace yourself for how your performance will vary every 11 years.

Stop worrying and enjoy your 12 year-old car. You’ll have a few repair bills ahead as the car ages. Shop around for a newer car if you need more speed. I sold my ‘12 Genesis and bought a ‘24 Santa Fe turbo. It does 0-60 in 6 seconds.

I would recommend that folks not hammer a 130kmi genesis sedan, or any mileage for that matter. The transmissions don't like it very much.

If you want a fast 0-60 time, rent a plaid from turo for a day and get it out of your system.

Besides, 1/4 mile trap speed is the better indicator of overall acceleration and engine power performance, not 0-60. There are too many more variables that impact 0-60: tires, tip- in, timing and speed sensors, rollout assumptions, etc.
