My 2011 genesis 3.8 sedan is giving me some problems

Im having some issues with alot of squeeking sounds when i drive turn right left back up it sounds like if the car was about to fall apart. The curtain isnt working i checked the fuse ans replaced it but it still not working the buttons on the steering wheel only volume up down and phone not working and last but not least the sunroof is not working. Any help please???

Regarding squeaking sounds - take your car to some repair shop and ask them to check all rubber bushings on all those 8 control arms in the front suspension. Yes, Genesis has 4 upper and 4 lower control arms in the front.

I have 2011 4.6 and I got some sounds when turning, and my steering wheel tilted to the right little bit. A week ago dealership was replacing rear brake pads and rotors on my car and told me that I needed to replace all those 8 control arms in the front.

Cannot help you with advise about electronics though.

Do you have the equipment (and ability) to troubleshoot electrical problems? Fuse is a good start but you have to get into the wiring to see if the switch is working. If yes, then to check that the motor is getting power and that is working.

Good luck, it will be a little challenge to get to some of the parts.

Dealership gave me these price quotes for parts and labor for all 8 control arms - total about $7,800.

I called my son and told him that I am kinda screwed for almost $8,000 American dollars. My son is certified Chrysler mechanic and works at the CDJR dealership service center. He told me not to approve these dealership jobs and told me that he would do it himself and that we just need to get parts ourselves.

He has 1999 Lexus GS-400 and buys all parts for his Lexus from RockAuto and does all work by himself. And he had Chrysler 300 C before Lexus and replaced all control arms by himself.

So he came home, we went to RockAuto website, found all 8 control arms and ordered them. Here is what it cost me.

I just did all eight arms, pads and rotors, and struts on the front of my 2010. Hopefully you aren't anywhere there is corrosion issues. I had one bolt that would not come out no matter what I did. It was one that held the strut to the lower arm. Luckily the dealer was able to get it quickly. It was over $20 though. I spent $450 on Ebay for all 8 arms. The uppers were OEM and the lowers TRQ.
