  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My first impression of the Genesis

GrandPrix08,

Official interior dimension numbers don't tell the whole picture for interior space in a car. In particular, some cars have the seat cushion very low to the floor. In that case, a tall person or a fat person (and I happen to be both) might be sitting with their knees almost at chest height, which gets very uncomfortable very quickly.

So I don't think official numbers tell the whole picture. But they don't hurt.
Grand Prix: front head room 38.8, second row head room 36.2
front hip room 54.5, second row hip room 54.3,
front leg room 42.2, second row leg room 36.2,
front shoulder room 58.0, second row shoulder room 54.8.

Genesis: front head room 40.4, second row head room 37.7
front hip room 54.3, second row hip room 54.3,
front leg room 44.3, second row leg room 38.6,
front shoulder room 58.3, second row shoulder room 57.9

The Grand Prix may be 2.4 inches longer, but it has a total of 4.4 inches less leg room - and that's a tremendous difference - and 1.6 inches less head room in both rows, and is slightly narrower too.
