  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi guys

I’m very happy to be one of Genesis owners, and a member of this forum :welcome:

Recently, I bought a 2009 V8 genesis with full options; however, It doesn’t have a navigation system. I’m wondering if there is a way to install or add a navigation system to it.

Thanks. :o

If it has "full options", it has the Navi unit. No Navi unit, no full options.

7lo, you'll have to get an aftermarket, no way to upgrade factory unit with OEM Navi.

ctrcbob said it best you had these options from low to high
base, premium, premium plus, and tech pack.all of them are full of options but only the tech package is all the "bells and whistles"!aftermarket is all you have left.

Sorry is this a COUPE or a Sedan?

The Sedan has Navi, the COUPE does not.

ignore last you said v8.

So you have the V8 BASE (still very nicely optioned) but no navi in the base sedan.

Unfortunately the DIS is different, I don't see how you could setup an aftermarket to use the integrated display. (no input available).

Many nice options in the aftermarket for a dash mount.

Buy a portal Garmin wide screen, it works great and think about the $4000 you just saved. As a plus you can move from vehicle to vehicle as well.

Yeah but does the Garmin play DVDs? In surround sound?

Kidding of course, though to add the Lexicon after market would probably run 15-20K.

And for your info. all the premium and premium plus has Lexicon Music system for the ears.
