  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2021 G90 - I had my car serviced this weekend - oil change and alignment (again). Afterwards, the app stopped sending me notification that my car is unlocked. All my notification settings are correct in web / app. I actually added text message to see if that would force an update. The app is communicating with the car as I can unlock / lock doors, but for some reason the unlocked door notification is not working. Anyone else suffering the same issue?

Now that you mention it, I left my car unlocked in the garage us usual and don't recall getting a notice.
Curiosity piqued, I just put a package in the car. No notice. Just opened the app and it knows the doors are not locked, but no notice.

Sounds like a disturbance in the matrix.

Yes. Just took my granddaughter home and I've been back 25 minutes with no notice.

I get unlocked notifications

MCC, you have a 2025 GV80? I wonder if the issue is model or year related. Let's see if any of the other G90 folks chime in.

Or the GV60 as it share the same info system as the G90. On my GV60 I don't even see a place to set those notifications. But my phone app does show the door lock status.

Yes I agree

Door lock notification is working again. Maybe a solar flare caused the issue?

I received an unlocked notification about 30 minutes ago. Hopefully the system starts functioning for you soon .

I didn't see any option in the app to turn on unlock notifications.

Go to: Settings and Privacy

Then go to: Notification section - look notification preferences

Scroll through the list to see all options for notifications.

I found the toggle for remote door. Unlock text notification. Is this to let you know if you remotely locked or unlocked your door or if you forgot to lock your door, you'll get a text to let you know? My understanding is that it is simply going to alert you when you utilize the remote lock/unlock. I would like to be notified if I left the car unlocked but I don't see a way to do that.

It alerts you to the fact that your door is unlocked after you turn the car off. No need for text as the app will let you know once enabled.

Just got a new 2026 gv70 a few weeks ago and noticed I haven’t gotten any pushed notifications when I leave the door unlocked. My old gv70 used to send me a notice right away whether my doors are unlocked or the doors are left open. Anyone know how to fix this? I’ve already rebooted and did a reset on both the car and phone. I even deleted and reinstalled the app. All the notifications settings are toggled on. Please help, I’m notorious at forgetting to lock my doors so the app push notifications really helped with my old gv70. Just bummed it’s not working with my 2026 this time.

Which begs the question WTF with all the bells and whistles can’t they have an auto-lock feature? My 1996 Toyota Camry had that feature. I loved it. Then you wouldn’t even have to get a message.

And please if someone tells me it is a safety issue as to why they can’t have autolock, I will scream!

If they ever add it. there should be an option to use it. Much as you want it, I'd find it a PITA is I could not shut it off.

Same as the auto open for the trunk Mine is shut off. Yes, about twice a year would be nice, but 600 times a years would be truly annoying.

The auto-trunk is annoying just because there is no way to show intention or not of needing the trunk open. The trunk intention is probably at about 10-15% of car approaches.

If you are walking slow in a parking garage and have to turn sideways it gets really annoying.

Auto-lock would be cat’s meow….probably 95% of departures from the car the driver would want it locked. And with auto-unlock on approach already available it would be a sweet feature.

The best toggle would be toggling it off for 90 minutes or 1 day and then it goes back to auto-lock.

Sure there will be some use cases where it can get annoying:

Loading 15 greased piglets into the trunk with two people at opposite ends of a long walk from the pen, one with the FOB and one without, and the one way trip is just long enough to cause the autolock to engage while the other person is getting ready to put the piglet into the trunk.

Or you and the spouse are saving the world from a terrorist attack. The bomb can only be turned off when your wife runs to get the key which is a mile away. It is pouring down rain and then when she puts the key in the bomb case, it allows the final step to deactivate the bomb. Turning the key on the bomb case activates a computer terminal, one mile away, containing the unique code that deactivates the bomb. You forget to toggle off the autolock and you patiently wait at the computer terminal for your spouse to turn the key! Booooom! 😀

Such as in my garage. I just put the reusable shopping bag in for next trip. Later I will put a package in it. I may get my sunglasses out of it. I don't see the benefit for me.
