MyKeyPremium install in G80 Ultimate (V8) issues

Hi everyone,

I figured this would be the best place to get experience review from the entire Genesis community. I have just installed the myPremiumKey solution in my Genesis G80 (Ultimate package 5.0 V8) vehicle.

Some issues that I am having include:
1. Dashboard yellow warning light that says "check turn signals"
2. Remote start auto shut off not working
3. Remote start not working.

Has anyone installed this myKeyPremium system in a G80 Ultimate? Any help or thoughts would be much appreciated.

Good news!!!

Update 10 PM: I was able to reinstall the entire remote kit system. All features are currently working, instead of using two clicks on the lock button, you have to use three clicks. The Genesis G80 Hass to first register a lock command, and then you double click the lock button.

All is working now, including the following features:
1. Proximity auto unlock when you approach the door on the driver side.
2. Auto lock when you walk away
3. Remote start for over 10 minutes when you triple click the lock button on the key fob within range of the car.

Good luck to anyone who takes this task on. It is very intense requiring a lot of patience and small hands. If you have big arms and a big body, seriously, think about finding somebody that has small arms and hands to get back to the connectors. I am 6 foot two and weigh 190 pounds, and it was very difficult for me to get these disconnected.


The hardest part of the install was reaching up behind the brake pedal to unseat three small white connectors. Then, you plug those connectors into the kit wiring harness, which gives you those three same connectors to plug back into the main module.


*****NOTE: once you connect the third-party connectors back into your main module, they are extremely tight. I was not able to get them back out once they were clipped in.

Also, it is highly important to plug in the power cable last into the final module (black one that comes with the kit).

Fixed issues: rapid, flashing of turn signals. To fix this, I allow the car to be remotely started, and then I manually stop it before actually physically getting into the car.

Did you try contacting the co? Do you know about the dip switch settings?

Man I'm right there with you. It was a huge PITA installing on my 18 g80 3.3t. Did you do any thing else after installing? Like setting up ur pin or activating any other setting?
