I came out of an Audi S5 Sportback and Nardo Grey seemed like it was the ‘hip’ choice for hardcore four ring guys. I just wasn’t feeling it.
There was a YouTube channel with a euro guy that was obsessed about the color and telling the world how awesome it was. I appreciated his enthusiasm and fondness for the color, but it simply never moved me as it did for him. To each their own. I think you have to be honest with yourself with such choice.
I was okay with not ‘getting it’ and would never dissed anyone for feeling otherwise. Color is such a personal thing. Audi has some pretty great paint choices and there is a custom program for those that want something unique. I love Audi’s Daytona Grey Pearl (though common) which is fantastic with red leather. Their Sepang Blue is eye catchingly beautiful and looks a lot like Ibiza Blue. Audi does an almost candy apple green on the RS5 they call Napa Green that is just stunning in person.
I’m a fan of great paint over wraps. Just watched a video on the paint process for the Acura NSX $6K Andaro paint upgrade. Pretty high level paint process for factory upgrade - even at a $6k premium. Of course, it would be an impractical daily driver paint but sure is an incredibly beautiful factory paint option.
