  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2015 Equus, when I turn the media center off, the screen display's the nav map. Is there a way to change this to display something else? I wind up having to hit the "DSP" button on the dvd section to get either a black screen or the logo.

The media center manual doesn't mention anything. Any ideas?

Here's a bump for your post. I would like to know the same thing. I don't even refer to my nav screen, not with Waze available on my cellphone!

So what I've learned is that when I was "turning it off," I was actually just muting the audio. If I hold the power button longer, the unit does turn off and display the logo.

Still... why bring up a map if I've got the head unit muted?? Makes no sense.

Hyundai customer service was no help. I've emailed Harmon/Lexicon to see if they have answers. I'll update this thread if I hear back!

Thanks for the bump.

Glad to give a bump, though I admit it was 'cuz I have the same question. I sure agree that a nav screen default -override even- is a major annoyance. I went thru my manuals twice looking for what I figured was a workaround, but found nothing. Anyone?

There is a DISP button that turns off the display, aside from that, no other answer. I never turn the radio off so that is always on the screen unless I actually use the navigation.

Hi EdP. Yeah, that's my go-to button...and I have to go to it way too often. I usually use my iPod for tunes, yes I still have one of those dinosaurs, and the screen reverts to Nav when using it. Surely someone has an answer other than the DISP button?

I wish I had access to the software itself. LOTS of seemingly random ways it works that just don't make sense - like the system's method of organizing/playing music from the USB or Jukebox to start!
