  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I live in AZ, so sunshine is always an issue. My 8" nav screen on my 2012 Genesis is unreadable on sunny days, (every day in AZ). Hyundai has no OEM or after-market products or suggestions. Does anyone else have this issue or a solution.
I thought about a computer screen filter, or some other polarized filter as a possible solution.
Thanks

Have you adjusted the brightness all the way up?

Direct sun here in NC is also a problem and add to that my polarized Rx sunglasses and if I hold my head just slightly sideways I can't see ANYTHING. Thankfully, I don't rely on it all that much.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Thanks for the responses. The brightness on the Nav screen is set to its max. My local Dealer is aware of the issue, but has no suggestions. My friends with non-Hyundai vehicles have their Nav. screen either recessed deeper in the dash, or at a more vertical angle.
I do appreciate your suggestions - thanks.

I personally do not have any problems with the screen.
One suggestion would be an anti glare film that you could try
I have one on my Ipad and it helped a hole lot in the sun

Please let us know if you try and like

Don't know if you intentionally posted in the Equus section...but in the Equus the screen is more upright than the Genesis.

The screen problem you mention is more of a problem in the Genesis than the Equus.

Try different colored sunglasses. You don't mention it, but you likely wear them all the time in AZ.
