  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I own a 2010 3.8 with nav and dis system. I updated my maps and am having a problem with Nav traffic. My old map database was 03.00 00 2009.08.25.14.
I now have this database of 03.00.00 2011.05.27.00... When I had the old database the nav traffic worked. After the update nav traffic was greyed out. XM has sent me numerous signals to refresh with no luck. My dealership seems not to know anything regarding this issue. Xm told me to do a factory reset but have not because I will lose all my stored phone numbers and the like. Any suggestions??

That is what I thought as well. However after they did the update which took the whole entire day and I paid $300 for the update that is the version that I have on my screen. Could they have done a wrong update? Everything else works fine, xm radio channels and all other electrical stuff. Just this nav traffic. Have no idea at this point..

I'm not sure if it's possible to install an incorrect version. I would think either an update would work, or wouldn't work and nothing inbetween. You should take a pic of the NAV screen with the NAV version up, and put it on here so we all can see what info it displays.

Thanks for the help. I do have the latest update which is good. I live in south jersey/philly region and I have not seen many differences between the old database and this database. My house that was built in 2009 is still not on the map. Still no nav traffic.. In the menu setting of the dis there is a factory reset. Is that factory reset the same as a factory reset that the dealer would do? XM said that would be a solution most of the time.. I just don't want to try it because I will lose my phonebook and saved destinations, and the like.

I’m a new 2013 R-spec owner (April, 2013) and I’m having a similar issue. I’ve got another 1 month on the free trial and got info from XM confirming the trail for radio and Nav Traffic. But when I got into my settings it tells me I’ve got to call XM to activate. The traffic has not worked since day 1 but radio is fine.

I’ve been on with XM about 45 mins. with them trying to reset and send new info (or whatever they do) but no luck. XM is saying I’ve got to take it into Hyundai.

I’ve seen a couple of other threads where folks reported this but never saw a posting of a resolution. Did you finally have to take it into Hyundai and were they able to fix? Any other 2013 R-spec or premium owners had this problem?

Thanks
