  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi everyone. Looking to update the maps on my 2015. I downloaded the nav updater and newest version of the maps and have it on my desktop. I thought I could use the original SD map card but it's only 16GB and I need about 20GB. I purchased a new 32GB SD card to copy the files.

My question is, do I just copy everything over to the SD, install it and then leave that card in for good? I would guess the original SD card would be of no use at that point?

Thank you for any insight.

I'm going to update and answer my own question, maybe to help future searching...

Install was a breeze. Copied the update onto the new 32GB SD card. Installed it into the car and pressed update. Gave it about 20 minutes or so and it was done. Everything works 100% and no issues to report.

Good to hear. Which head unit does your car have? The 8 inch or the 9.2 inch Ultimate?

Just updated my 2015 as well.
However, I don't see an icon showing the battery charge level of my phone. It only shows when making a call.
Does your upgrade show an icon as the original 2015 software did?

I have no idea. I don't connect my phone to the car. Sorry.

Hi,

My issue is that the Android Auto and Car Play are grayed out even the the options are "enabled". I tried a couple of usb to usb c cables but nothing outside of charging. I used the same cables on my pc and I get prompts from windows to transfer files or explore the folders on my Samsung 24. Everything else seems to work great including Satellite radio and Nav maps. Any ideas?

Which model car do you have? Which year? Which system? Are you using the correct USB jack?
