  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm sure others already knew this, but I just figured out that you can control the navigation lady's voice prompt volume by adjusting the radio volume control knob while she is speaking. When her prompts are complete, the knob goes back to adjusting the radio volume.

This is on a 2012 tech pkg; not sure if the same on a premium pkg.

Just thought this was cool - I always struggled to hear her as I like to listen to my music pretty loud....

In my '12 Premium you push the "setup" button to the right of the Nav screen to adjust the voice.

Yup, same on 2009 Techs too. When a route is entered, you can command a repeat of the last navigation voice output by pressing the regular map button on the DIS panel. While she speaks on command, adjust the volume.

The same logic applies to adjusting cell phone ring volume/cell phone call volume - while those are happening the volume control adjusts those functions instead of the normal stereo volume.

I sure miss having the capability to select from a group of different navigation voices. I liked the female British voice on a Tom Tom, my first GPS. Without her around anymore I feel like I got a divorce. Worse, I miss her more than some of my old girlfriends.

On my 2011, when the navigation voice came on, the radio automatically muted so as not to interfere with nav. directions, then came back on when voice finished. However, on my 2013 this feature is not happening, am I missing a setting or has Hyundai eliminated this feature. Btw, I thought it was a great feature, to be able to hear without the radio interfering. Anyone here experience this same thing?

Sounds as though you have issues. Mine mutes the radio when a call comes in or the navi lady speaks. It's never failed to do so. I don't know of any particular setting you need to make, I believe it's inherit within the system.
