  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

As the title suggests, looking to gauge interest for a NC tune event. This would be for both Coupe and Sedan. BTR is able to tune the sedan 3.8, 4.6, and 5.0 through 2014 MY. I will find out more info as to the 15+ 5.0, but I do not believe that is up and running as of yet. There may be a TCS tune available at the time as well; I will follow up regarding this. Time frame is late winter/early spring - thinking February/March. I will update this thread with confirmations once I garner interest and BTR is able to confirm.

What part of NC do you reside. I find it odd you guys dont put the city you're in. As if you're gonna be stalked....lol.

Raising my hand. I am interested!! Thanks

I like my privacy, which is ironic since my car does tend to stand out. To narrow it down it is either in or near the capital of NC.

Somewhat new to the forum but I'm interesting in finally getting my RSpec 5.0 tune.

I knows where you lives :P

Please understand that if we are to get this moving, deposits would be needed by end of the month, and full payment by end of January. Prices can be found on BTR's website.

:)

Ok, so it looks like we may have enough to pull off this event. Are there any issues with getting deposits by end of December, and payment in full by end of January? We would need this schedule, in order to make this happen. Date would be end February/beginning March.

Please PM me with actual names so I may add to BTR's thread on FB.

thanks

We have confirmed 14 cars for this event (9 coupe and 5 sedan). Location will be RPM Motorsports outside of Raleigh, dates TBD. We are looking at 2-24 or 3-10 at the moment. Thanks

3-10 is the date that works for me.

Sam with BTR has confirmed 3/10/18 at RPM Motorsports in Garner, NC. This is fairly central, so that most can make it a day trip. I will copy the Event page over once it has been created. Tunes are $750 + dyno fees (usually $80-100). Deposits will be due shortly, with payment in full by end of January.

Where in MD? I moved from Jessup to NC a year and a half ago...

Keep us that can't make the drive informed of the results of the 5.0s tunes. Again strongly suggest making sure you use highest premium fuel and dog it before you dyno test BEFORE tune, then tune and dyno retest to see accurate results of the tune with out any other engine change/mods.

Only two people of 14 have gotten in the deposits. Understandably this is not the best timing with Christmas, but we do have until January 10 to get them in. Lets do it guys.

So we have 4 deposits, one of which is mine. Please respond as to whether you have submitted your deposit, as it is doubtful I will attempt another tune event if everyone flakes. I can get an extension, but the commitment must be there.

I just saw this, but honestly I would have to see how this performs and effects drive-ability first before I dropped any money. I would love more details on the TCU tuning though. How much do they shorten shift times, does it mellow out or remove the hunting at low speed in traffic, etc.

The deposit deadline has been extended through the end of the month. If you have questions, reach out to BTR and they can assist. Sign up guys!
