  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey,

I just got a recall notice for my 2022 Genesis G70 3.3 about the turbocharger oil supply pipe (Recall 019G). The recall is supposed to be free, but I’ve got an aftermarket cold air intake installed, and I’m not sure if that’s going to mess with the warranty or the recall.

Do I need to swap back to the stock intake before I take it in, or is it cool to leave the aftermarket one on?

Would appreciate to hear you guys thoughts or if anyone’s been through something similar. Thanks!

I dropped off my G70 last week for the 2 recalls (oil line and starter solenoid), and left my aftermarket BMS intake on, oil catch can, and differential brace. Took off and went back to stock on a bunch of other add ons: the BMS JB4, flashed ECU and TCU, BMS intercooler, trans cooler, and CPI kit.

No mention of my warranty, but in my case I had 2 months left and that was it - not much difference. You have a lot more left, and even with the protection of Magnuson-Moss, if it’s not too much trouble going back to stock intakes may keep your G70 off their “find an excuse to void the warranty” radar.

Put it back to stock.

Got my G70 back today, the turbo oil line recall is complete, the starter solenoid is waiting on parts. So once that part arrives I’ll take it back.

Not a peep about the warranty status.
