  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey,

I just got a recall notice for my 2022 Genesis G70 3.3 about the turbocharger oil supply pipe (Recall 019G). The recall is supposed to be free, but I’ve got an aftermarket cold air intake installed, and I’m not sure if that’s going to mess with the warranty or the recall.

Do I need to swap back to the stock intake before I take it in, or is it cool to leave the aftermarket one on?

Would appreciate hear your thoughts or if anyone’s been through something similar. Thanks!

That really all depends on your dealer. Some of them are cool with external mods and some are real jerks about it. That said, since it is an actual recall and not a warranty repair, it honestly shouldn't matter. Try asking your service manager a "hypothetical question" before taking it in.
