  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I can't make up my mind on whether I should get a Cabernet Red or Titanium gray Genesis. Is this something I can decide here or should I be seeking professional help from a Psychologist?

:confused::confused:

Cutthroat,

To begin with, this thread immediately borders on "tasteless" and "worthless" and Navy Bob will pounce you in about the third or fourth window... so be prepared. The key to get pass Navy Bob is to mention "rattles" or "tire size" in the middle of your thread. That will keep him at bay... at least for a page or two then... watch out! It usually takes him a page or two to understand what is really being discussed in a thread.

Now before I even open my mouth I want you to know that I am not a psychologist, attorney or CPA and I recommend you talk to one before making any critical decisions on car colors. I was also not in the Navy, like certain distinguished member of our forum, so my World knowledge is limited and in fact... borderline "tasteless". So now with the disclaimer--

Is the new car for you or your wife, as color usually reveals your true personality?

Now I know why you don't know that Engine Speed and RPM are the same.

:welcome: :grouphug: :D

The car is for my wife, but she usually lets me choose the color, as she is far more interested in clothes than cars. She wants a black interior as it will match most anything she is wearing. Her favorite option on the car is heated seats.

I was in the Navy 35 years ago. I did my 4 and was out the door. I was a 2nd class P.O. --- Which does not stand for Pissed Off. - The Navy was far too regimented for me, as I am a Free Spirit.

If you can find the Cabernet Red, snap it up. I have a good friend who wanted to buy a Cabernet Red 4.6 last autumn, and there were none to be found. He ended up buying something else.

Yes, i think the Cabernet Red looks fantastic, but I also think the (Pearl) White, and the Sterling Blue are fantastic.

The great thing about my Champagne Gold is that it does not show dirt.
(Gray and/or Silver also don't show dirt).

Black doesn't show dirt either, as long as you a) keep the car in a garage, b) dust the car off after driving on days it doesn't rain and c) wash it after driving on days that it does.... To me, nothing looks sharper than a clean black car, but nothing is harder to keep clean. I washed my car Saturday, and today it was raining when I left for work, so I washed it again when I got home. We'll see how long I can keep this up.

Oh, and also don't park anywhere near a tree, or a bird flight path, or...

I didn't get a chance to see the Champagne gold in person before buying my Platinum silver.
When I saw one few weeks after my purchase, I almost regretted my decision.
It's a gorgeous color!
I also agree that the Sterling blue is fantastic.
To be honest, ANY of the Genesis' color looks awesome.

What the hell is that flying "H" doing on the steering wheel. Put yourself on report, then get it fixed.

Cabernet Red, but I'm partial as it's what I have and YES it is the fastest color!

Cutthroat-

I understand... for the wife. Men and women are like night and day when it comes to colors. In a nutshell, colors fall into the following categories-

If Champagne Gold is your color--

For the Woman-

The color of gold mean refinement and wealth. These women have great taste in clothes and usually shop at Saks. They are all well educated and know what they want out of life. They are usually good looking and set high goals. They are very organized and men seek them out for marriage. They know 12 different positions in bed.

For the Man-

These men are usually overweight and very sloppy. Their wives always have to clean up after them around the house. They like this color because they are lazy and don't want to wash the car more than once a year. They are usually Virgos and tend to talk with their mouths full. They are always looking for bargains at Sears and squirm with delight when they find a McDonalds around the corner. They are always critical if things don't go their way. They know of only one position in bed.

Coming up- Cabernet Red

I mentioned in a previous post that my wife saw a red Genesis and remarked that it looked like a color a woman would buy...:D
