  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My front shield from beneath the car lost the fasteners. The shield was simply a large piece of molded felt type composite material. I have found the entire shield online, but no fastener identification. I have the shield, in good shape, but need fasteners to reattach shield. Since I don't have a fastener to compare, I don't know what to buy. Can someone provide a part number or picture of fastener. There has to be a LARGE washer or grommet with this fastener based upon the size of the hole location on the shield.I don't want garage to charge me $100+ for something I can do myself. Thanks.

Why not just go to your dealer and pick some up? They are only a couple bucks each.

at the dealer, I know Lowes has a lot of car fastener parts or hyundaipartsdeal.com

A nut, bolt and a lock washer??? Been my experience when these fasteneres break or get lost, the only sure way to lock the lower front shield is to take the non-standard approach. Especially if the repair is out of sight.
