  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2019 3.3 htrac, dynamic. Recently noticed a rubbing/wining noise coming from rear center when slowly accelerating while turning, ie driving up parking garage ramp. Anyone have same experience? Brembos? Bearing? Normal? Dealer can’t replicate noise because it doesn’t happen all the time. thanks!

I got mine on Tuesday and don’t have that problem, sorry

Sounds like the lsd on the back axle but since you’re AWD I assume it could also be coming from somewhere else along the drivetrain. So it’s not constant? Is there any condition you can put it under to replicate and then have the dealership do the same thing?

Thanks a lot. It’s not constant which is why it’s so hard to reproduce when at the dealership. I also live in a high-rise with steep garage ramps, this is the only place I notice it. Car is hot when it happens but outside temp is quite cold. Happened once about a week ago. Fine for days and now again today. Maybe I’ll head back to the dealership and take them for a ride to a parking garage and see if I can reproduce the sound.

Depending on how far away you live they might not be down for that but if you live there I’m assuming you drive it every day, multiple times a day sometimes. So if it doesn’t happen every time it’s possible it wouldn’t happen again even if you did get them to come along. My ability to diagnose what’s going on is very limited due to you being AWD so hopefully someone else here can chime in with some advice

I had what sound like a similar issue with the front left wheel of my 2.0 RWD, except my noise was more of a clicking than whine. It only happened when I turned (usually more pronounced in one direction, but I can't remember if it was left or right) and this was when the car had low miles on it, so I thought there was an issue from the factory related to the axle or suspension. Had the dealer pick up the car and take it in for service. Turns out it was the breaks. According to the tech, they needed to be lubricated. I suspect that the pads may not have seated properly and just having them removed to be serviced and placed back again may have done the trick. Haven't heard the noise since.

What timing. I scheduled another appointment with the dealership for this week and the advisor thinks checking the breaks may be the only thing they can do unless sound gets worse or can be reproduced. Either way hope to have a clean bill of health by this week. Thanks all for the help. Enjoy!
