  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey guys i need your help. I took my car to walmart the other day to have the winter tires installed, and when my wife drove it a couple nights later she noticed her headlights were acting funny. Well, after some research i found out about the leveling sensor on the HIDs. She said they acted like they were shining straight down at the ground?? I was lost, so i went to looking and noticed that apparently Walmart had torn off all the wires going to the sensor! I mean every one of them. So with that being said, i am going to have to replace the harness. Can someone tell me if their available or do i just have to go to the dealer and buy one from them? Just need some help with it please.

Take the car back to Wal-Mart and ask to see a manager. Explain what happened and they will turn it over to the insurance company to get it fixed.

I had a wheel on my truck scratched up from the wrong weights being installed and they turned it over to their insurance company who cut me a check for $400 and told me to purchase a new wheel. I told the agent that I didn’t think a stock wheel would cost that much. The agent said, well any difference is for your trouble. New wheel off of E-Bay cost $125.:)

Wal-Mart will never give you a run around they will just write it up and turn it over to their insurance company.

You should not pay for a thing and while your car is repaired Walmart must pay for a rental car and have it for you.

Question?, how is it possible for installation of tires to cause the damage to the headlight wiring harness?

Thats my point exactly. Its actually the load leveling sensor that is on the drivers side rear control arm. It senses the load and adjustes the projectors up or down depending on the weight in the rear of the car. I have no idea how they done it. The only thing I could think of is when they pulled it on or off the lift?!? Its pretty simple job imo, I didnt think they could screw it up, but i was wrong. They had pulled every wire out of it. Like it had caught on the rack or something? There was only a 1/4 inch of each of the six wires sticking out.
