  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi, I love my Genesis but someone put on a very loud after-market exhaust. It's 2012 4.6L and I only know it still has the cats.
It seems very hard to find 4.6L OEM exhaust systems. Does anyone know what I would need (parts names).
Does anyone have any tips on finding the parts once I figure out once I need?

Thanks in advance for the help

Take it to a local muffler shop, not Midas or Meineke, but a local shop that does custom stuff, and ask them what you need. If cats are still there then they probably just did a muffler delete and that can be fixed pretty easy with aftermarket mufflers.

Hey there! Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. You just gave me so much hope, user fourthirteen.
I don't see any in stock aftermarket exhausts / mufflers on that site you linked. Even aftermarket seems impossible to find for a 4.6L 2012.
Could I use a universal muffer if the shop say that's all I need? Either way, thank you!

Check eBay for a set of used mufflers.
Take some pics underneath the car so we can see exactly what was replaced.
