  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2019 G70 2.0 Advanced and I am looking for a solution to the crappy speakers. I was hoping someone could point me in the correct direction to purchase adapters for the door speakers please

Which door speakers? My 2020 has at least 3 speakers I think in the doors. In my younger days I toyed a lot with head unit and speaker changes. I’d normally remove the door panel to get access to the speaker and make measurements. Crutchfield and many other online mobile electronics shops generally provide speaker measurements and some will provide fit guides too. Not sure if any will have info on the G70 yet?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I have the 2.0 Advanced. Doesn’t have the Lexicon speakers. I only have 6 speakers total and a sub I’ve added. I figured I could make my own sound system so I didn’t worry about the upgraded model. Crutchfield doesn’t make any adapters for our cars yet. I’ve seen many people making them for their own cars but I don’t have a router so I’m hoping someone would be kind enough to make a set and sell them to me

So your looking at changing speaker sizes then? Most door speakers are 6 to 6 1/2 inches generally. You trying for a set of 6x9’s or similar? A sizing adapter is one thing, checking that you have physical door clearance is another. You may need to cut some sheet metal from the door if speaker depth or magnet size is much different from stock. I’d still pull the panel off to see what you have to work with? When the window is down you may find little extra clearance back there.

I have pulled the panel off. The speakers are made into a plastic spacer. The spacer is necessary in the front to clear the window

Don't mean to revive an old thread but wow is it hard to find the sizes and hardware needed to upgrade the base audio. I am also looking to upgrade my audio. It's a 2022.

I'm looking to do the same on a 2019 Genesis with Lexicon system. My go to sites, Crutchfield and Sonicelectronix, don't have the 2019 listed. So I doubt they would have the 2022 listed. I am going to pop off a front door panel, eventually, and see exactly what size speakers are in it.
