  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello Everyone,

Recently purchased the 2022 Genesis G70 Sport Prestige. I have a couple of questions and Issues I wanted to talk about.

1) Found this part under the front passenger seat belt - part pictures - Tried to look around, but could not figure out where it is from. Not even sure if it broke out of something.

2) Being the idiot I am, I scratched the front left rim on the curb, :( . How expensive is this mistake? Anything I can do about it? It hurts to look at those scratches on a new car.

3) Dash-cam hardwired - Do you guys have any dash-cams installed? Any suggestions? Hardwired or no? If yes, should I get it done at the dealership service center? Does it affect my warranty?

4) Interior Lighting - Any interior lighting mods or suggestions? I'm a sucker for a clean lighting setup.

Thanks

#1- im not sure what it is but that belongs on the floor in front of the passenger seat, it popped out of place for me as well

Looks like the cover for the cabin filter. Look in the glove box to check it out.

Most rim dings can be repaired for far less than a new wheel. I hit something in the road and it was $125 to have it straightened. If they have to weld could be more. Check out local shops.

Item #1 is the cover for the chassis vehicle number location. On my car there are two small carpet openings under this cover where the VIN can be accessed. Press it back in place and carry on.
Search for dash cam and there are numerous installations described here.
Wheel shops can do magic. Not miracles, but magic, yes.

Congrats…yer gonna love it. Cheers!

#2…if it’s nothing major…there are places that can fix it for < $100

Contact your dealer to see if they know someone? Otherwise Google rim repair.

I knicked my A4 rim…18”…silver…small gash…$75

i hardwired into the fuse panel under the drivers side dash. Easy to get to.

use a fuse tap in the panel. shouldnt affect warranty unless you really screw up the install.

Thanks a lot for your replies everyone! Found the right place for that piece of plastic under the passenger seat. Will hit some local shops for fixing the rims. Thanks guys/gals.
